Bitcoin ETFs See Strong Inflows, Pushing October Back into Positive Territory
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have attracted significant investor interest, drawing $1.08 billion over three trading sessions and reversing a recent trend of outflows to push October’s net flows back into positive territory.
On Wednesday, these funds saw net inflows of $528 million, coinciding with a brief surge in Bitcoin’s price above $84,700 before a subsequent retreat. This marks the third consecutive session of positive inflows, following $23 million on Tuesday and a substantial $526.6 million on Monday, according to data from SoSoValue.
The cumulative inflows for these three days reached $1.08 billion. These recent inflows have brought October’s net inflows to approximately $461 million, contributing to a year-to-date net inflow total of $1.34 billion.
Data from Farside Investors indicates that BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) was the top performer on Wednesday, attracting $235 million. The Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) followed closely, with inflows of around $213 million.
This resurgence in inflows comes after two consecutive weeks of withdrawals, during which Bitcoin ETFs collectively shed $228 million last week and $681 million the week prior.
Bitcoin’s price experienced a notable rally on Wednesday, reaching an intraday high of $84,777. However, it had pulled back to $82,485 by the time of publication, according to CoinGecko.
Other cryptocurrency ETFs also recorded modest inflows. Ether ETFs halted a five-session outflow streak with $15 million in net inflows. Solana ETFs ended a 13-day outflow streak, attracting approximately $585,000, while XRP ETFs added around $709,000.
