Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee Predicts Record-Breaking Crypto Bull Market Fueled by Tokenization and Generational Wealth

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee has forecast that the upcoming cryptocurrency bull market could be the largest in history, citing four key drivers: the increasing tokenization of assets, significant generational wealth transfers, the growing accumulation of digital assets by corporate treasuries, and rising demand linked to artificial intelligence.

This optimistic outlook was shared alongside Bitmine’s latest treasury update on Monday. The company announced it had acquired an additional 12,532 ETH in the past week, boosting its total holdings to 6,028,946 ETH, which represents approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s circulating supply.

“Owing to the following factors, we see the potential for this to be the largest ever crypto bull market,” Lee stated, identifying these four themes as the primary catalysts for this projected growth.

Lee elaborated that younger investors inheriting wealth are expected to exhibit a greater inclination towards cryptocurrencies and equities. He anticipates this demographic shift will exert a more substantial influence on the forthcoming market cycle compared to the 2019-2021 bull run.

Furthermore, Lee pointed to companies managing digital asset treasuries as a novel source of demand absorption. He characterized their holdings as effectively permanent withdrawals from the market, though he acknowledged that corporate treasuries retain the flexibility to sell assets and alter their investment strategies.

Bitmine confirmed it has been purchasing ETH weekly since initiating its Ethereum treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. Its current holdings bring it close to its strategic objective of accumulating 5% of the token’s total supply.

The company also highlighted its resilience during the recent bear market, asserting that it is well-positioned for strong performance in a future rally. According to data presented in the announcement, while ETH experienced a 10% decline in the first nine months of 2026, Bitmine’s common shares saw a more modest decrease of approximately 3%.

As of October 11, Bitmine reported a total asset value of $16.2 billion across its cryptocurrency holdings, cash reserves, marketable securities, and other investments. This portfolio includes its substantial ETH holdings, 214 BTC, $612 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million investment in Beast Industries, and an $85 million stake in Eightco Holdings.

Bitmine is also actively expanding its staking operations through its Made in America Validator Network, or MAVAN. The company stated that this platform, originally developed for its internal treasury management, now serves a broader client base including institutional investors, custodians, and ecosystem partners.

Approximately 5.07 million ETH, representing 84% of Bitmine’s Ethereum holdings, was staked as of October 11. Based on the yield rates cited in the announcement, Bitmine estimated its annualized staking revenue to be $336 million, with a projection of approximately $400 million if its entire treasury were to be staked.

Lee also drew attention to Bitmine’s BMNP perpetual preferred stock, which offers a 9.5% dividend rate. The company reported that these shares last closed at $99.53, marking a roughly 24% increase from their issuance price of $80 in June.
