Crypto Crash: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Price Plunge Fears

Crypto Market Plunges as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP Face Potential Further Declines

The global cryptocurrency market has shed over $180 billion since the beginning of November, bringing its total valuation down to $2.64 trillion. This downturn follows the Democratic Party’s victory in the midterm elections, which has fueled concerns about potential regulatory crackdowns on digital assets. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP are all exhibiting signs of further weakness, prompting analysts to assess the extent of possible price drops should selling pressure persist.

Bitcoin’s Support Level at Risk

On November 5th, Bitcoin experienced a notable dip, falling below $75,000 after reaching highs of $81,000. This decline occurred in the wake of the U.S. Initial Jobless Claims report, which unexpectedly fell to 189,000, surpassing the anticipated 197,000.

Renowned crypto analyst Ali Martinez has observed that Bitcoin is currently trading within a broad channel on its three-day chart. The critical juncture for the digital currency is the channel’s midpoint, situated around $73,000. Martinez warns that a breach of this support level could trigger a further decline, potentially pushing Bitcoin towards the lower boundary of the channel, approximately $60,000. Such a move would represent a 20% drop from current levels and would bring the price back to a zone where significant buying interest was previously observed.

Ethereum Faces Deeper Correction

Ethereum is displaying a more precarious technical setup compared to Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency has fallen below the $2,385 support level on its daily chart. Analysis of the chart indicates that ETH has broken out of a right-angled ascending broadening pattern, suggesting a weakening of its prior price structure.

With $2,385 now serving as a key resistance level, sustained selling could propel Ethereum towards its next significant support zone near $1,963. This would mark another substantial decline from its current trading price of approximately $2,245.

XRP Under Pressure, Eyes $0.99 Level

XRP is also experiencing continued downward pressure, having fallen below $1.61 and broken through the middle range of its trading channel. The three-day chart illustrates XRP’s descent from above $1.40 towards $1.18, with $1.29 now acting as a crucial level.

Should sellers maintain control and XRP fail to mount a recovery, the lower boundary of its channel, near $0.99, emerges as the next major support target. This level holds particular significance as XRP has previously encountered robust buying activity around the $0.99 mark.
