Ether.fi has partnered with MoonPay to integrate the latter’s payment infrastructure, aiming to streamline fiat funding, crypto conversions, virtual accounts, and deposits by consolidating services onto a single platform. The collaboration is expected to enhance the user experience for Ether.fi users.
MoonPay will provide four key products within Ether.fi: Headless Ramps, Moon Trade, Enterprise Virtual Accounts, and Crypto Deposits, with a rollout planned in the coming months. A significant user benefit will be the ability to complete identity verification once and reuse it across supported products, simplifying the process and reducing the need for multiple provider interactions.
MoonPay’s Headless Ramps will offer embedded fiat on-ramp and off-ramp functionalities directly within the Ether.fi interface. MoonPay Trade will handle cross-chain routing and crypto conversions inside the application. Furthermore, Ether.fi users will gain access to virtual accounts through MoonPay Enterprise, complete with account and routing details supporting payment rails such as ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, Faster Payments, and SEPA.
The partnership is designed to preserve Ether.fi’s self-custodial model. While MoonPay will manage the fiat payment rails and compliance where funds transition between traditional banking and crypto, Ether.fi users will retain control of their wallet keys. This allows Ether.fi to leverage MoonPay’s licensed infrastructure while upholding its commitment to user control.
This strategic move supports Ether.fi’s expansion beyond its origins as an Ethereum liquid staking protocol into a broader range of consumer financial products. The company noted that its card processed $123.7 million in spending across 1.5 million transactions in September, with over 48,000 active addresses, according to Paymentscan data. This marks an increase from September 2025, when the card processed $24.1 million. Since its launch in April 2025, the Ether.fi card has cumulatively processed approximately $918 million in spending, 11.6 million transactions, and engaged 113,000 addresses.
“The bar for ether.fi isn’t other crypto products. It’s whatever banking app a user opens every morning,” said Rok Kopp, co-founder and Chief Growth Officer at Ether.fi. Ivan Soto-Wright, MoonPay CEO and founder, added, “The platforms that win will be the ones that make money move simply.”
