Ripple's Surge: Coinbase Partnership and $900M Revenue Run Rate Unveiled

Ripple’s Swell Conference Kicks Off with Major Partnerships and Growth Milestones

The first day of Ripple’s major conference in the U.S. was marked by significant partnership announcements and the unveiling of new treasury capabilities, including final OCC approval for Ripple National Trust Bank.

Following these developments, the company behind XRP revealed a substantial integration with Coinbase and released fresh figures underscoring the rapid expansion of its institutional business.

Ripple and the leading U.S. cryptocurrency exchange announced that its stablecoin, RLUSD, is now accessible across several of Coinbase’s platforms. This includes Coinbase Prime, the primary trading platform, and the firm’s retail application, significantly broadening access to the stablecoin within the United States.

Both retail and institutional clients can now convert U.S. dollars and other supported dollar-denominated stablecoins into RLUSD on a 1:1 basis. Support for Coinbase Global Exchange customers is also anticipated, which will include the ability to utilize RLUSD as collateral.

The integration extends across the XRP Ledger, Base, and Ethereum, offering users multiple options for depositing and withdrawing Ripple’s asset. The company, led by Brad Garlinghouse, will also provide liquidity on Base to facilitate RLUSD’s expansion on that network.

According to data from CoinMarketCap, the stablecoin’s market capitalization has surpassed $2.6 billion since its launch in late 2024. RLUSD has seen increasing adoption for payments, institutional markets, trading, and on-chain finance.

“Our partnership with Coinbase meets that demand head-on,” stated Jack McDonald, SVP of Stablecoins at Ripple. “It brings RLUSD to the largest institutional client base in the U.S. crypto market, across execution, settlement, and custody – all in one place.”

This agreement follows Ripple’s earlier Day 0 announcements with Robinhood, where RLUSD was positioned for use across retail services, institutional settlement, and Bitstamp by Robinhood.

Another significant development highlighted during the conference’s first full day is Ripple’s projection to conclude 2026 with an annualized product revenue run rate approaching $900 million. The company also reported that over 1,700 institutions, corporations, and enterprises are now utilizing its infrastructure, with the number of customers tripling this year.

Ripple explained that its products facilitated over $16 trillion in transactions during 2025. Furthermore, Ripple Payments is nearing $150 billion in lifetime volume across more than 60 payout markets.

The firm attributed much of its recent expansion to customers increasingly adopting multiple products in conjunction, rather than relying on a single service. Examples cited across payments, custody, stablecoins, prime brokerage, and treasury management included partnerships with Robinhood, BNY, DriveWealth, and Water.org.
