XRP Price Forecast: Analyst Predicts $5-$8 by 2027 Amid Potential Short-Term Weakness

One market analyst has projected that XRP could reach between $5 and $8 by 2027, though the cryptocurrency may experience further price declines before the end of the current year.

This forecast is reportedly based on a long-term chart pattern that the analyst, known as ChartNerd, claims has consistently guided the Ripple token through significant market cycles.

In a recent series of posts on the social media platform X, ChartNerd described the $5 to $8 price range as “more than achievable,” identifying 2027 as the target timeframe. However, he anticipates “Q4 turbulence” and views the current market cycle as nearing a peak, which will be followed by a reset and then an expansion phase, with this pattern expected to repeat.

The accompanying chart illustrates XRP’s trajectory from 2014 through projected price zones for 2027 and 2028. Past cycle peaks are identified around 2018, 2021, and the all-time high of $3.65 in July 2025. These peaks were subsequently followed by pullbacks toward a rising lower trend line, which ChartNerd considers a long-term support level that has historically held firm.

In June, when XRP was trading approximately 70% below its all-time high, the analyst suggested that a historical bottom could form in the subsequent months. He now believes the asset is approaching another such reset. Nevertheless, ChartNerd also cautioned about a potential “Bart pattern” unfolding after the token lost the $1.30 support level. In his view, unless XRP’s price recovers to that threshold, it could fall to between $1.16 and $1.04.

As of this report, XRP was trading near $1.25, according to CoinGecko data. The cryptocurrency showed minimal change over the past 24 hours but had declined by more than 3% over the last seven days. It was also down over 16% in the past month and approximately 48% lower than its value a year ago, contributing to its current position 65% below its record high.

Earlier, ChartNerd had shared reservations regarding XRP’s long-term performance, suggesting it might need to retest a historical demand zone against Bitcoin before initiating another period of outperformance. He noted that XRP has underperformed BTC for at least eight years, even following several rallies that occurred after the world’s fifth-largest cryptocurrency returned to the aforementioned zone.

Another prominent analyst, EGRAG CRYPTO, has presented even more ambitious price targets for XRP, which Ripple refers to as its “North Star,” setting expectations at $8, $13, and $30. However, EGRAG CRYPTO stated that for this outlook to materialize, XRP must achieve a monthly close above $1.65.
